Residential Lock Box Program

A City of Peoria Fire-Medical program. The HOA shares it because it can save precious minutes in an emergency.

If you fall or have a medical emergency and can't get to the door, firefighters can let themselves in without breaking a door or window. A small metal box outside your home holds your house key.

Option 1: First-responder lock box

  1. 1

Order a residential lock box from Kidde or Knox. When the website asks for your location, choose Peoria Fire Dept, Peoria, Arizona.

  2. 2

    Install the box yourself.

  3. 3

Call Peoria Fire-Medical at (623) 773-7919. They will come lock your house key inside. Only Peoria Police and Fire can open it.

Order from Kidde

Kidde model numbers: 114114-01 (with dry-lock lid) or 000104-01 (without).

Order from Knox

Option 2: Coded lock box

You can also buy a lock box with a number code at most hardware stores. They are easy to install. In an emergency, give the 911 dispatcher your code, and they will pass it to the firefighters.
